family portraits | Baltimore family photographer | summer fun

when this little guy didn't want to get his feet sandy, we decided to try a different approach: socks and shoes it is!  once we figured that out, he had a blast kite-watching, scooping sand, and picking up the endless rocks that were washed up on the shore. what a great way to end a day at the beach. {ocean city}

denise and chris are getting married in september and i am super excited for their wedding. these two are so sweet – they made my job easy! i had THE best time following them around the fells point waterfront on a steamy sunday afternoon. but first we spent some time in druid hill park – the third oldest landscaped park in the united states and my favorite baltimore park - with it’s enormous trees and wide open spaces. it was the perfect place to hide in the shade while the sun burned off the remnants of the rain showers from earlier in the day. between the green, green grass and all the bright colors we found around the harbor  - this photographer was in heaven. and then we ended up at red star, the place where they had their first date.   see what i mean? SWEETNESS.

twin almost-3-year-olds and a 4-month-old... what a wild morning! don't let these first few fool you, they were racing around from the moment they walked in the door.

holidays...sowebo style

Franklin Square wreaths created by the community adorn historic Franklin Square throughout the holiday season. i love how each wreath is different - St Luke's Church, the Boys & Girls Club, and local residents all put their own creative mark on the square!

fall...carroll park

days getting shorter, evenings getting chillier, but still enough light to explore the park between dinner and bedtime!

wedding photographer | Baltimore wedding photographer | R&J tie the knot

family, state college, baltimore... that's how the placecards were sorted. what a perfect visual of how their love has unfolded - touching the lives of their friends and family from their hometown to their new home in charm city. R&J had a beautiful backyard wedding at the bride's childhood home, complete with flowers grown by her dad. everyone wore something blue, even the pups! the weekend started out with rain, rain, go away.... but mother nature got it all out of her system before the ceremony and even gave us a sunset. by night, the clouds gave way to a beautiful crystal clear sky full of stars (ohmygod the STARS!!! i truly think i have never seen so many in my life...) this was the first wedding i have done in a year, and i was reminded how much I LOVE WEDDINGS. what an honor to spend a day with a couple and their closest friends and family, witness their commitment to a lifetime of love, and document it all for them. i could not have been happier.... well, only if...
